Advent 2025 - DAY 21 — JOY THAT CANNOT BE TAKE

DAY 21 — JOY THAT CANNOT BE TAKEN
Scripture: John 16:22

“…your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”

In 1983, a Romanian pastor named Josef Tson was repeatedly interrogated for preaching the gospel. Officials threatened him, confiscated his books, and followed him everywhere.
Yet those who met him described him as “unshakeably joyful.”

When asked how he remained so calm, he replied, “My joy does not come from what I have. It comes from who holds me. They can take everything but not that.”

His joy became a witness stronger than any sermon.

Reflection:
Jesus gives a joy the world cannot steal — a joy rooted not in circumstances, but in Him.
Where do you need to trust God for a joy that remains steady?

Prayer:
Jesus, anchor my heart in the joy that only You can give.
Let nothing steal the joy You have placed within me. Amen.
