Thursday — Witness to the Nations
Matthew 28:18–19
“All authority… Go therefore…”
Psalm 67:2
“Let your way be known upon earth…”
Authority That Sends
Jesus says, “All authority… has been given to me.” Then He says, “Go.”
Notice He doesn’t say, “Win authority.” He already has it. ANd that takes the pressure off.
We’re not trying to make Jesus king - He is King.
We’re just living like it’s true. Witness Is Ordinary. For some it might even look boring compared to the rest of the world. And that's ok too!
For others, when we hear “mission,” we sometimes imagine microphones and stadiums.
Yet, most of the time, witness looks like:
Not glamorous. But powerful. I’ve learned that consistency often speaks louder than volume.
Representing the King
Here’s the hard part: People form opinions about Jesus based on His people.
No pressure, right?
Should I remind you - for some people you are the only bible they will ever read. - ok - I did.
But seriously — when we respond differently than the culture expects, it creates curiosity.
Witness is not domination.
It’s demonstration!
Prayer
Lord,
Make my life consistent with my confession.
Let my daily choices reflect Your reign.
Amen.

- Integrity at work.
- Kindness in disagreement.
