DAY 24 — LOVE MAKES ROOM
Scripture: Luke 2:6–7
“She gave birth to her firstborn son… and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”
In 2018, a family in Texas opened their home to foster children during the Christmas season. They had no extra bedrooms, so they converted their dining room into a sleeping space.
When asked why they disrupted their holiday traditions, the mother said, “Love rearranges things. We wanted our home to look like welcome.”
Reflection:
The world had little room for Jesus — yet God’s love entered anyway. Love often asks us to make space where it feels inconvenient.
What might love be asking you to rearrange this Advent?
Prayer:
God of welcome, make room in my heart.
Teach me to receive and give love freely. Amen.
