Advent 2025 - Day 4 — Dawn Always Comes

Day 4 — Dawn Always Comes
Scripture: Romans 13:11–12

During the London Blitz of World War II, families spent night after night in underground shelters, listening to air raid sirens and explosions overhead. Many were unsure whether they would have a home to return to each morning.

One young girl kept a diary during that season.
Nearly every entry ended the same way: “The birds sang this morning.”

Even as bombs fell and fires burned, the morning arrived. The birds kept singing, reminding the city that night cannot cancel morning.

Wow! I double checked to see if that story was true... it is!

Reflection:
Darkness doesn’t get the final say. God’s dawn always comes.

Paul reminds believers that even when the night feels long, the day is already near — and we are called to live as people of the light.

Where do you need to believe again that God’s morning is coming?

Prayer:
God of the dawn, shine Your morning light on the dark places I carry within me.
Help me cast off the night and embrace the coming day with hope.

Amen.

Yes the shorter devotionals are helpful. The stories are amazing to think about and realize how faithful God actually is.
